Today I updated my RadioMaster TX16S from Yaapu 1.95xxx to 2.xxx.
I decided it was a good time to finally try Yaapu’s map display.
I followed the Yaapu wiki for maps and did the map pre-cache/downloads in Mission Planner and the processing with the special Yaapu utility. Then I loaded the maps over on to my SD card.
What I haven’t been able to find yet is how to switch from the Yaapu “instrument” view to “map” view.
The Yaapu config menu has places to set things like the map and zoom levels. But nothing I could see shows how to bring up the map display.
There are several old YouTube videos about the Yaapu map. They don’t have anything about the instruments - as if the original version of Yaapu only displayed the map. These videos are about setting zoom levels.
I’ve posed an open issue on the Yaapu “open issue” board about this. Mr. Apostoli is usually quite quick in responding to posts there.
If someone here can help me discover how to display the Yaapu map, I’ll close that issue out. If not - here’s a link to the issue so anyone trying to find out about this in the future and refer to the post and Mr. Apostoli’s response.
