Gripper Released Payload Too Early – My Friend Lost His Lunch!

Today, I tested a gripper and successfully convinced my friend to eat a hamburger that I delivered. However, there was an issue—the gripper released the payload before reaching my friend’s position.
RCIN.C11 and RCOU.C11 during flight

According to my plan, the drone was supposed to fly in AUTO mode to waypoint 6, then switch to LOITER to release the hamburger. However, I didn’t see it drop as expected. After checking the log file, I found that the gripper had released the payload somewhere between waypoints 5 and 6.

Could anyone help me identify the cause of this issue so I can prevent it in the future? I’d really appreciate your support. logfile

P.S.: My friend ended up eating ramen for lunch.

HUD video from my Revotech IP Camera

I want to stream the feed from my Revotech IP camera to the HUD’s “Attitude Indicator” in Mission Planner.

I right-click on the Attitude Indicator, select the “Herelink IP Address” option, and enter my camera’s IP address. However, it’s not working. Could I get some advice please?

Oscillation when in loiter in d term on roll

It seems to fly really well, vibrations in Y axis up to 10. I configured it with the configurator I am just trying to figure out how to fix this oscillation in my roll d term. It only happens when I switch into loiter mode. If I lower d term the quad starts a slow wobble. I can’t see or hear the oscilliation but the logs seem to show it. I also am having the not able to arm due to “still config gps” error in loiter mode with this beta 3 version.

Custom build firmware - servo gimbal

Hello,

I use an old Pixhawk 1m for my quad. I use a custom build firmware to be able to use the MSP osd, which works well.

I want to activate a servo gimbal. By just choosing this in the list of the builder it does not work. What else do I have to activate to make it working?

Failed to read MAVLink TUNNEL message

Hi,

I am trying to read MAVLink TUNNEL messages.
My code looks like this:

mavlink_msg_TUNNEL.lua (282 Bytes)

mavlink_tunnel.lua (931 Bytes)

For some reason the lua reads payload_type 0.
I can see payload_type is 208 in MAVLink Inspector.

I am stuck, any help is appreciated.

Error position vertical variance

First tests outside, on the ground only but have crazy changing vertical position.
For me it looks like baro problem. Could be it needs a kind of calibration?

Hand or Catapult Launch Takeoff with QuadPlane (vectored tilt tri plane)

Hello, I am having trouble doing a manual takeoff with my tiltrotor aircraft. If I set Q_OPTIONS bit 1, when I enter TakeOff mode, both front engines instantly go up to 100% despite I have set KOFF_ACCEL_CNT=1 and TKOFF_THR_MINACC=12

According to the documentation, Q_OPTIONS bit 1 (+2), if set, will use a fixed wing takeoff instead of a VTOL takeoff for ground stations that can only send TAKEOFF instead of a separate VTOL_TAKEOFF mission command. Otherwise, QuadPlane will use VTOL takeoffs for a TAKEOFF mission command.

I am not sure if this is the right way to do what I want to do. My use case is:
1- I want my quadplane to take off in Normal Takeoff mode (because I use an airplane catapult to reduce battery consumption)
2- Then I do my flight
3- Then I want my quadcopter to come home and land in QLAND mode (because landing in a quadcopter does not consume too much battery and is so much more convenient than a normal landing)

Drone flipped in loiter mode on x11 motors with 25kg all up weight

i’m using x11 hobbywing motors with 41 inch propellers and 12s 27000 mah batteries two in parallel. the drone flew well in stabilize mode, no vibration and no problem in stabilize mode, but in loiter it flipped while being unstable in loiter mode. please help and advise. i am attaching the videos both of stabilize and loiter mode also i’m using here pro gps with pixhawk cube orange plus. In the below attachment the crash happens to be log 00000088.BIN file

FrSky telemetry port

Hi,
Here is FrSky D8RII input telemetry port schematic.

Can I connect STMs (Ardupilot telemetry out) serial port to RXD_IN?
Or should I connect it to RXD as it’s a good level already (so passing conversion).
It seems what they meant in sentence above.

DroneCAN via MAVLink doesnt work over serial

I am having an issue where DroneCAN MAVLink pass-through seemingly works over my autopilot’s USB port but only half works over MAVLink-enabled serial ports (I see node IDs but no names or other data). Is this intended, a bug, or something I am doing wrong? I see the following when connected to the FMU via a serial port and mission planner:

It’s new build, newer in the air, but logging worked whole day using 4.7 dev
Logs cleared and still same error.

Tank Steering Setup Rover

I am new to QGround Control and am currently trying to configure my rover for a skid/ tank steering configuration. I have a rover with dual tracks. I individual motors controlling the left and right tracks. I am currently using a FS-i6 Fly Sky RC Controller. I am using a Pixhawk 4 flight controller with Ardupilot firmware. I have currently downloaded the firmware onto the flight controller and have selected the rover airframe. I am getting control through the RC controller in manual mode, but the remote controls do not steer the rover as a skid steer. I cannot find any resources on what parameters to change to allow this configuration. Does anyone on this forum, know what parameters that i can change to allow for the skid/tank steering configuration? Any input or help would be greatly appreciated.

Copter in Acro (Freestle) experiencing RC signal lost Then ...

I’m reading the docs, which description below attracts my attention.

Here is my question:
“What will happen when copter is in Acro modes, and the throttle input is at minimum for freestle. Then a rare sitiuation RC signal lost happened”

According to doc: Radio Failsafe — Copter documentation

In this kind of critical condition, I don’t think we have that much time to understand and get control back.

So Is there anything I didn’t noticed or what I have considered should never happen?

Tell me your thoughts~~~ Thanks for the safty of freestyle.

EDIT: I hope ardupilot can take over and do what it was configured RTL/LAND/etc… If this happened.

Ubiquiti bullet or rocket

Hello, we have a team working on an unmanned surface vehicle. We are planning to purchase a Wi-Fi device for communication and are trying to decide between Ubiquiti Pocket and Bullet. Our priority is to choose a device that supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands.

Additionally, we have a ground station where we are considering either LiteBeam or PowerBeam. What would be the best choice for us?

A strange crash in a simple flight

Hi,

my quad with Speedybee f405 v3 Stack and AP 4.5.7 crashed strangely in a simple flight. The contact between the nickel strip and the wire in the Li-ion battery pack was destroyed. I don’t know if this is the cause or the result. Please help me find out the cause of the crash.

hello, im using speedybee F405 WING with FrSky X6R receiver thru SBUS, im sending 5 Channels to the receiver with rc transmiter but only the channels 1 and 2 are moving in the Mission planner in radio calibration tab, could this be transmiter issue? We tried 2 diffrent receivers and both act the same

I have read that you shouldn’t mix gps’s for blending.
I have a here 4 and Holybro F9P on the same quad and I am wondering if I would benefit from using GPS blending vs best.
When I read the logs its constantly changing which gps that its using.

Problem with waypoints

Hey everyone greetings from Greece!!
I’ve got a little project going on, its a grass cutter that we made with my uncle to use in our kiwi field .
The problem that we currently have is that when it reaches any waypoint (going from point to point),it doesn’t just goes direct to other point it stops turns right then turns straight again and then keeps moving to the next point.
We use mission planner for the project and forr gps we have the here 4 module.
Any ideas how to solve the prroblem ?
